My First Blogger blog

The reason I created an account here is because I discovered that I can have audio posts with blogger therefore I can link the audio clips to a pod-cast with Apple's new Pod casting setup at their music store. It turns out that Apple does not actually host the pod-cast it just serves as a hub to its millions of listeners for those who have a message to get across. If God is willing, the first show I'll do is going to be on the connection between our faith in God and works for God. I think I'll then do a show on God's will, and then as many shows as it takes on "the sermon on the mount". After that I'll do an analysis of the book of Job and from there I really don't know. I have a blog account on Yahoo! 360 but I wasn't able to do any kind of audio clips within it. I perhaps could've used my own Mac mini to act as the server for the pod-cast but I think I'll try this for now.

Thanks for the comment, and glad to know that your want to put up a podcast as well. I am using GoDaddy to host my mp3 files -- they provide good service for low cost. I also use blogger, and then send my blogger feed to Feedburner, which converts it to RSS AND adds the iTunes tags. It's free. I do keep mine short because of the bandwidth thing, so far not even close to having a problem. Let me know when you've got your first one up!

Also, I hit your other blog first and noticed a lot of SPAM comments. You can prevent most of that by going to settings, comments, and check "yes" to show word for verification (or something like that). That way, people making comments have to type in the word they see, or their comment won't post. It keeps machines from posting spam to your comments.

Hi Jim
I'll look into GoDaddy and Feedburner. Thanks so much for the help. I suppose it was a good thing I made two blogs, the first acted as a kind of spam filter. I did change the comment settings to help slow the spam. I've been recording my podcast and it's long, and also I appear to drag toward the end, I think I'll shorten them, and also because the general attention span of most people is short. Of course a short podcast might be too concise and therefore easy to miss the point all together. I suppose I'll have to just keep trying until I get it right.
